Fine-knit sophistication
Fine V-neck or crew neck knits are real all-rounders. Available in black, dark blue and brown, these are your must-have business casual basics. As a rule, it's fine to just wear them over a shirt, but a jacket gives the outfit added style points for meetings. When you're not at work you can go all out on colours. Rich reds, ochres, greens or vibrant blues will breathe life into your outfit. Pair a fine-knit jumper with a casual shirt in a matching colour, along with chinos or dark jeans. Tip: wear tight-fitting shirts under your jumper to keep a sleek silhouette.
Casual in hoodies
Often, hoodies are absolute favourites in our wardrobes. Soft, lined sweater fabric, practical kangaroo pockets and, of course, the hood itself simply make an unbeatable combination. All of this is available as a jumper or as a sweat jacket. They add the finishing touch to sporty looks. Hoodies go well with the new baggy pants as well as with slim-fit jeans. Throw a windbreaker over it and add some cool kicks. When your trainers pick up the colour of your jumper, your look is flawless.
Chunky wool jumpers
The chunky knit gives these thicker wool jumpers their coarse look. At the same time, they're super comfy. With a straight waistband and slightly longer cut, chunky knitwear looks modern and relaxed. This suits both the sophisticated hipster look and sporty leisure styles. Wool jumpers are best solo in combination with 7/8-length trousers. A check shirt rounds off the outfit, along with comfortable jeans in a relaxed fit.
Exciting collars
The neckline looks impressive on knitted jumpers and cardigans. Whether it's a shawl-style, turtleneck or polo neck collar, you're right on trend.
Polo neck sweater
Lightweight polo neck jumpers are wonderfully versatile. They look sporty, but not too casual. For an authentic college look, mix a retro jumper with chinos and sporty lace-ups.
Jumpers with shawl collars
A shawl collar looks sophisticated and casual at the same time. It goes just as well with chinos as it does with trousers with razor-sharp creases. Underneath, all you need is a V-neck collar shirt that doesn't peek out, as this collar shape works best on its own.
Turtleneck jumper
Turtlenecks are even cosier. A warm turtleneck is worth its weight in gold when the wind is whistling around your ears. Right now, coarse wool jumpers with turtlenecks are getting us even more excited than refined, fine-knit versions for work. Add a duffel coat and biker boots and your street style is complete.

FAQs
Can I put jumpers in the washing machine?
Jumpers and cardigans made from real wool must be washed very gently. This is because real wool shrinks very quickly. Blended fabrics can often be machine-washed, but only at low temperatures. Be sure to follow the instructions on the laundry care label! If the care label in your wool-blend coat or jumper says it can be machine-washed, use a gentle wash cycle with slow spin. Also, make sure to use a mild detergent or one designed especially for wool.
Cotton sweaters are less complicated. For cotton, use low temperatures and a detergent suitable for colours to ensure colours stay bright for a long time. The soft inside becomes gorgeously fluffy again in the dryer.
How do you hand wash wool sweaters?
Cashmere, alpaca wool and pure new wool can usually only be washed by hand. It's easy to do this in the sink. Fill it with lukewarm water and add a mild detergent. Soak the jumper for a few minutes. This is enough to get rid of odours and surface dirt. Stains can be carefully rubbed away with the detergent. Afterwards, rinse well with clean water and squeeze out any excess water. The jumper will usually still be dripping wet when you hang it up to dry.
How do I hang a wool jumper properly?
Delicate wool fabrics cannot normally be put in the dryer. Instead, hang them out in the fresh air after washing, but keep them out of direct sunlight. Sunlight can make the colours fade. The best method is to drape the jumper over a clothes airer. Never leave jumpers or cardigans to dry on a clothes hanger. The water will weigh down the fabric, causing it to stretch and potentially lose its shape.
