The top note

What is the difference between an eau de toilette and an eau de parfum?

Both are high-quality fragrances. They differ in the proportion of aromatic substances. An eau de toilette contains 6-9% fragrance oils. Here you can adjust the intensity yourself. Use sparingly for a subtle impression. If you want a more intense scent, just apply more. Then you reach the intensity of an eau de perfume. This contains 15-30% fragrance oils. Therefore, it has a higher price, but also lasts longer. 

Where do I apply an eau de toilette?

Properly placed, an eau de toilette unfolds its fragrance over several hours. It is best to apply it in places where you can feel your pulse. These are the insides of the wrists, the side of the neck and the temples. Scents can also be applied behind the earlobes, on the nape of the neck or on the décolleté. 

How do I store Eau de Toilette?

If stored correctly, the scent will stay with you for a long time. The ideal place is:

• Cool - You can store Eau de Toilette at room temperature. However, place it far away from the heater or other heat sources. Please do not put in the refrigerator, there again the scent is too cold.
• Dark – fragrances are sensitive to light. Therefore, you should not expose Eau de Toilette to direct sunlight. Ideally, it should be placed in a dark room. If you have a daylight bathroom, you better keep it in the closet.
• Dry – Close the bottle tightly after each use.
